Summary/Abstract: The development of information and communication technologies and digital devices provides an opportunity for almost limitless communication between people, within which everything could happen: exchange of information, intimate engagement, exchange of messages, assistance, committing criminal acts, violence, torture and harassment, data dissemination, and entertainment needs (listening to music, watching movies and videos, games). The topic regarding children's prosocial behavior on the Internet is a continuation of a number of author's studies related to the helping behavior in general and in particular, the helping behavior of primary school children. Today we are talking about prosocial behavior on the Internet, because modern living conditions lead to more and more time spent online, at the expense of meetings with friends and peers offline, face to face. This article will provide a brief literature review on the topic and the main goal is to highlight the personal characteristics that determine our behavior on and off the Internet. Some authors attempt to define prosocial behavior on the web as behavior that involves voluntary, purposeful actions that take place on the Internet to help others in a particular field without expecting any reward or benefit, without any personal purposes. Various theories of motivation, personality attitudes, theories of social learning and social identity emerge, which help to find answers to the questions of how, why and to what extent people are willing to help in cyberspace to other people. The influence of emotions, age, mood and other factors that determine prosocial behavior in the network is studied, being defined in three groups: emotional, cognitive and behavioral. It is important to develop children's skills for helping behavior on the Internet, because this type of communication will occupy an increasing and more important place in interpersonal relationships, especially among adolescents. The anonymity that cyberspace provides, as well as physical distance, are a serious prerequisite not only for violence and criminal activity (a brief analysis of the most common cybercrimes known today is done as well), but also for offering help. One of the main areas in which members of the various Internet communities help each other is related to the exchange of information such as "know-how", providing guidance for specific actions, studying programs and applications.
