Summary/Abstract: The process of forming Bosniak families in the settlement of Osmace, which began during the 18th century, ended mainly at the end of the 19th century. However, this process could only be explored in the second half of the 19th century, based on the Ottoman census of the male population of Srebrenica District 1850/51., as well as on the basis of land books (land-registry) of the Srebrenica District from 1894. Using these sources, 30 families who lived in the settlement of Osmace, Srebrenica District, until the end of the 19th century were singled out, and most of them lived in Osmace until the 1993 war. Some of them, such as the Mavrakovici, moved out of Osmace before the First World War, and some changed their family name, ie. surname, such as Silistarevic in Agic, and Omanovic in Osmanovic.
