Dating, an Ever-present Issue, with Illustrations in Romanian and Spanish

Summary/Abstract: Dating, a chronological hierarchy of the words in written language, proves useful for establishing the features of the vocabulary in various steps of evolution of a language. For the Romanian linguists, dating represents a major problem, as there are very few Romanian dictionaries that offer information related to the first written attestation of a word. This article presents some examples of lines of study provided by the analysis of a text from the point of view of dating.
