Summary/Abstract: This paper is a historical retrospective of the public opinionsuveys conducted in the Czech Republic. The goal of this historical discourse is to make review of the development of the empirical observation of the public's view towards the daily political events. Particularly, the aim of this paper is, by means of presenting data and analysis, to create a more realistic conception of the reader for this type of scientific and practical interest in this part of Central Europe.
