Summary/Abstract: Justified by the COVID-19 pandemic, the regulation of the criminal procedure code was modified by introducing the notion of suspect in the trial phase of the criminal process. thereby infringing, by the legislature, the right to a fair trial, the right to liberty, independence and impartiality of the judiciary by introducing a notion specific to another procedural stage.
