Summary/Abstract: This paper deals with the Muslim Bosniac population of America. It begins by considering issues concerning the first Muslims to emigrate from Bosnia, who settled in Chicago, and their contribution to America’s multi-national, multi-cultural and multi-religious society, going on to address the challenges they face in such a society, and finally the practical consequences of the 11 September 2001 terrorist attack.
