Summary/Abstract: Suren Cedighian was an authority in the field of permanent magnets and magnetic materials and a veritable pioneer and trainer of national school in the magnetic material domain. He was surnamed – still alive – „The father of permanent magnets in Romania“. Considering his special value, on the 6 July 2012, The General Assembly of Romanian Technical Sciences voted in unanimity the post-mortem receiving of Suren Cedighian, as Honorific Member, among it.
