Summary/Abstract: This article presents the acceptance of Cioran in Japan, by analyzing the afterwords of translators. Cioran is very popular and appreciated by Japanese readers, thanks to his nineteen translated books, while there are not many academic studies of his work, perhaps because of his position divided between philosophy and French literature.
