Summary/Abstract: The poetess Anna de Noailles published numerous works and practiced both versification and prose writing. Among her literary works there are many poems, novels, short stories and tales. We shall focus, in the present article, on a theme derived from the research undertaken by Marie-Lise Allard and Claude Mignot-Ogliastri. We are approaching the autobiographical, generically different couple of texts called “Destiny” signed by Anna de Noailles, from the perspective of both contextualized textual analysis and art history. What happens with the autobiographical bias in the passage from the first to the second text? The figurative illustration by Raoul Dufy, a sort of personal and visual reinterpretation, is an opportunity to further question the autobiographical dimension of Anna de Noailles’ works.
