Summary/Abstract: Man does not possess his own self. As image of God, man is a mystery to himself.Yet he is called to explore that mystery, not to explain it, so that he can discover hisauthentic vocation in life which requires him to transcend knowledge as it is commonlyunderstood, meaning to become metaphysically realistic and keeping his original dignityby building a cruciform type of relationship: on the horizontal with his fellow man, andbased on that, on the vertical, with God.
