The mathematician N. Abramescu and his contemporaries

Summary/Abstract: Occasioned by the 125th anniversary of professor N. Abramescu (1884–1947), and by the 90th anniversary of Romanian University of Cluj Napoca, the paper presents a memorial medallion of the mathematician in the context of his working period in the Cluj university community, a fertile period in didactic and scientific achievements emphasizing his relationships with the mathematicians from Romania and abroad.
