One Narrator, three Interviewers, twenty Years. Some Reflections from longitudinal Oral History Research from the Interviewer

Summary/Abstract: The study is focused on the project The Student Generation of 1989 from LongitudinalPerspective: Biographical Interviews after Twenty Years. In the first part, the authorfocuses on the unique relationship of the narrator and the interviewer, especially itsspecifics in the longitudinal oral historical research. She also reflects on the relatedquestion of reflexivity. In the second part, she analyzes interviews conducted withinthis project and compares them with twenty years old interviews, which are followedby current interviews, and also with interviews created for the Memory of Nationproject. The author discusses the extent to which interviewee´s narrations areconsistent over time and how the interaction between the same narrator and two orthree other interviewers unfolds.
