Historical note: A Brief Overview of the History of FEB

Summary/Abstract: The1First World War, the collapse and disintegration of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and the creation of new states interrupted the already expensive and difficult to access higher education opportunities for Croatian youth in the old university centers of the Monarchy. Therefore, barely a month and a half after the creation of the new state, the SCS Board of Commissioners (Provisional Government) in Zagreb issued an order on the establishment of the Technical High School, the Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (published in the Official Gazette on December 18, 1918).
