Summary/Abstract: The square of modalities in Aristotle has four logical positions. Among them, the category of „reality” is missing, which Kant and Hegel included in their systems. This choice of theirs was probably provoked by Leibniz, for whom the content of the „possible” is not a set of positions between which there is indifference. The possible contains potentials with varying degrees of feasibility, which is in connection with the real, of transformation into it. In addition, the solutions of Kant and Hegel are options for overcoming pure formalism in logic and for creating meaningful logic. The reflections offered here are a reconstruction of their experiments, considered in a peculiar sequence.
