Summary/Abstract: Mesolithic or Neolithic? Massive stone heads were discovered on the preventive archaeological research in Alba Iulia, A10 highway, Sebe ș-Alba – Turda, sector 1,site 2 (2017 campaign). Aspects regarding the nowadays geographicalcharacteristics of the investigated area (but also older ones, using historictopographic maps), data regarding the general chronology of the site and culturalframings of the archaeological features are being discussed. The article mentionssimilar stone heads or stone sculptural elements discovered in other archaeological sites, connecting this information with the radio-carbon data.
