Summary/Abstract: The subject of this paper was the possibilities for prevention of speech disorders in kindergarten. The starting point is the fact that errors that occur in children's speech, which are part of natural, normal speech development, grow into a speech disorder if they keep occurring after a period of tolerance. The aim of the research was to examine the possibilities for prevention of speech disorders in kindergartens. It is assumed that the results of the research of the attitudes of early childhood experts will show what are the possibilities for prevention of speech disorders in kindergartens. Among the research methods, the method of theoretical analysis and expert interview were used. Of the research instruments, a semi-structured expert interview was used. The interview was conducted with three speech therapists, experts in early childhood education from Zenica. The results of the research indicated the possibilities of prevention of speech disorders in kindergartens: increasing the number of speech therapists working in preschool institutions, continuous engagement and cooperation of parents with experts, additional education for existing educators in the field of speech development, educating future parents in the field of prevention, ensuring the opinion of dentists and speech therapists when enrolling children in kindergarten, and teamwork of educators, speech therapists and parents.
