Summary/Abstract: Personality traits have been found to be the primary determinants of psychological well-being. The main objective of this research was to establish the relations between personality traits and dimensions of psychological well-being of prison officers. Number of 504 respondents, prison officers of different age and gender that work in the penal-correctional institutions all over Bosnia and Herzegovina, were included in this research. The following measurement instruments were used in the research: The demographic data questionnaire, The Big Five plus Two Questionnaire (B5+2) and Scale of Psychological Well-Being (SPWB). Results of the research showed that there is significant relations between personality traits and dimensions of psychological well-being. Personality dimensions Aggressiveness, Neuroticism and Negative valence are negatively correlated with all dimensions of psychological well-being, while the dimensions of Extraversion, Conscientiousness, Openness and Positive valence are positively correlated with all dimensions of psychological well-being.
