Summary/Abstract: The current century is called „the century of knowledge“. Due to the influence and the demands of modern technology, modern(information) societies must be „knowledge based societies“, „learning societies“, „professional societies“. One of the characteristic images illustrating these terms to describe modern man is a „learning man“. For that reason, every society requires its wisest human individuals so as to create education policy (during the „century of education“). Therefore, the choice of people that will create, lead and implement education policy and the educational process (system) should not be irrelevant for representatives of organized politics and other factors of social development. Any failure in educational policy or lack of determination, even mild or total lack of willingness to enter scientifically designed, well thought out and designed permanent changes (which are a priori caused, conditioned, and to a certain extent determined by the influence of new technologies), the society will pay, to say the least, by wandering and developmental delay. In this paper the authors have considered only some of the issues related to the educational system in the modern information society, as well as the application of new technologies in education and work, including demands that they impose.
