Summary/Abstract: This work aims to examine how the media (French and Moroccan) treat the events concerning the global crisis linked to the “Coronavirus” pandemic. Our task is to verify how the new words relating to the "coronavirus" crisis are used by the media studied. The data analyzed come from a set of French and Moroccan journalistic articles written in French and disseminated online. We believe, as a hypothesis that the use of neologisms by the French and Moroccan media would be done in the same way, not only because the two tackle the same theme, but also because it is done through a same language. After analyzing our corpus, we found that, despite the similarities noted in the treatment of events linked to this pandemic by the French and Moroccan media, there are still some differences between these two media concerning the use of new words belonging to in the lexical field of the Covid19 pandemic.
