Summary/Abstract: At the occasion of her birth anniversary, this article reflects some aspects of works by Karolina Světlá, especially stylization of the narrator and of characters' manner of speaking. It also analyzes the use of these devices in "Večer u koryta", a narrative-dialogical miniature, considering similar phenomena in village prose.
