Early Literary Works of Derviš Sušić (from Socialistic Realism to Post-War Pre-Modernism)

Summary/Abstract: Derviš Sušić belongs to those renowned writers of Bosnia and Herzegovina whose first steps in literature are very little or almost unknown to literary history. This paper reviews the author's early works, his basically uncharted range of works made of short stories, sketches, and children's novels from the period of 1949-1960. First and foremost, it is about the researcher's principle newly found works, which means that the already known works shall not be necessarily mentioned. Accordingly, the collected corpus will be analyzed through the prisms of Socialist Realism and post-war Pre-Modernism.
