Summary/Abstract: This paper has theoretical characteristics and has presented basic features of methods for measuring the economic effects of tourism. There are many methods used in the economic analyses, by which we can measure the direct and indirect effects of tourism. In this context, we can point to the following ones: national accounting method, TCA-method, cost-benefit method, tourism multiplication method, and input-output method. Each of these methods has own positive and negative aspects, but still as a method with best performances we consider the input-output method.
