Summary/Abstract: This paper aims at describing the code shifting, code switching and code copying along with loanwords among Albanian – Turkish bilinguals in the Prizren area. The data were collected in a fieldwork conducted in November 2017 with a total of 100 respondents. Data were stratified according to speakers social background and identity. Data interpretation showed clear patterns of audience design and register. Code switching and code shifting were based on the audience, topic of the conversation and participants roles. The identity of an individual was represented through evocative style. Turkish elements among Albanian speakers in Prizren mostly evoke citizen elements, but religious element is also present. Data have also shown presence of Slavic loanwords which are due to the Slavic influence until 1999.
