Summary/Abstract: The paper examines the long-standing activity of Albanian researchers to prove, based primarily on the analysis of the names of places and personal names in the area of Kosovo and Metohija, that the majority Albanian population are indigenous, and that the presence of the Serbian ethnic element is over-represented in Serbian historiography.
