Summary/Abstract: The 125th anniversary of the birth of Lucian Blaga prompted us to write this essay, dedicated to the psychoanalytic explorations of some of his aphorisms. After re-reading them, we formed the belief that some aphorisms, which explain certain fewer clear areas of the metaphysics of trilogies, can be better understood from the perspective opened by Jacques Lacan (still not methodically applied, as far as we know, to this subject). Thus, we wanted to continue and amplify an older preoccupation with Blaga’s aphoristic thinking, which we consider highly „revealing” for the whole thought and work he developed. At the same time, we consulted well-known, traditional sources of Blaga’s exegesis, convinced that the interpretive strands of Freudian and Lacanian psychoanalytic nuance intertwine, for a better understanding of the whole thinking of the „philosophy of mysteries”. The main idea, with the role of provisional conclusion, which we deduced from our attempt, is that, although the Romanian thinker wished a „separation” of his view from psychoanalysis – which he explicitly stated at one point given –, this fact did not occur in reality, the ideas of psychoanalysis remaining a hidden constant, but well noticeable, in all the articulations of the metaphysical system of the trilogies, as well as in the entire work of Blaga. We believe that writings such as the present essay will contribute to the unravelling of some mysteries and enigmas, still persistent, of Blaga’s spiritual creation, despite the many thousands of pages dedicated to it, from the beginnings of its appearance until now.
