Summary/Abstract: The present study aims at presenting how individual memories can be narrativized so as to act as carriers of one’s life experiences and identity markers when used in a specific time, space and cultural context. We focused on memories stored in photographs employed in contemporary fiction as connectors between past and present and as significant tools against oblivion by their very power to apprehend reality.
