Summary/Abstract: The article presents the role and tasks of early childhood education teachers in diagnosing the educational difficulties of students in grades 1–3. In order to answer the questions related to the above-mentioned roles and tasks, the teachers of the Primary School No. 5 in Zgierz and the parents of their children were examined. The scope of the study covered the causes and symptoms of difficulties, and how teachers deal with them. Cooperation between parents and educator and the possibility of using the help of other specialists were assessed.
