DESTROYMENT OF DOCUMENTS ON THE TERRITORY OF MOLDOVA

Summary/Abstract: The following material is intended to be an example of the destruction of documents fromthe Moldovian’s archive heritage outside the legislative norms, with losses sometimes irreprasable forthe history of the country. The most common causes from the oldest of times to our present are the lackof legislation and visions for the future, ignorance and deficit of proper education, lack of attentionand professional training of archivists, waste of documents, inadequate conditions for keeping adocumentary (dirtiness, rodents, mold), poor financial support, the paper crisis and nationalization offactories, reorganization of administrations and territories (change of institution’s subordinates,relocation of archives and the lack of storage spaces), work plans in the comunist era for recyclingpaper that led people to declare important documents as waste paper, political conflicts, nationalrevolutions, riots, wars, natural disasters, loss via e-mails, etc.
