Summary/Abstract: Archimandrite Neonil, one of the most important abbots of the Neamț Monastery in the first half of the 19th century, is noted for being a good landlord - he builds, renovates, repairs and equips various churches -, founder of schools, social assistance establishments and the hospital in Târgu Neamț, a good reorganizer of public life. It gives a new shine to the paisian current and carries out a rich typographic activity. Through his rich activity he remains a worthy successor of the abbot Paisie Velicicovschi.The original correspondence we publish highlights the vast activity of Archimandrite Neonil from the third abbot.
