Provenance in the Lwowiana collection of the Library of Cracow University of Technology

Summary/Abstract: One distinguished five collections of the oldest book collection of the Library of the Cracow University of Technology. One of them is the Lwowiana collection, which comprises publications devoted to Lwów or ones which were published in that city. In the first part the author will present all types of provenance which are featured in this collection, and in the second part she will focus exclusively on the provenances which are featured in the form of subscriptions made by hand. They will furnish a pretext for a short presentation of the profiles of the previous owners of books and they will encourage the reader to familiarise himself or herself with their biographies in a more in‑depth manner.
