Summary/Abstract: The Yugoslavian Library is a project by Julije Benešić which encompasses thirteen editions (fourteen books) mostly written by Croatian authors. Benešić published his Library in Poland between 1930 and 1938, and his main goal was to promote Croatian and Yugoslavian literature in Poland. This paper focuses on the published titles written by Croatian authors, and it discusses the social, cultural and political circumstances in order to determine the key criteria of choosing the authors and books that were included in this respectable translation and publishing achievement.
