Summary/Abstract: This article is related to the notion of proper names in the poetry of Jan Kasprowicz,selected from his volumes of poetry – Krzak dzikiej róży, Księga ubogich, Hymny andMój świat, a collection of poems which was published posthumously. The article does notencompass folk anthroponyms and toponyms related to the Polish mountains. Particularattention has been paid to the connections, so far marginalized, between the onyms relatedto the religious and commercial spheres as well as their influence on the interpretationof Kasprowicz’s works.
