Summary/Abstract: This text contains observations about the influence of the coronavirus pandemicon modern people’s understanding of men’s being. It includes preliminary notes onthe subject made from a philosophical and anthropological perspective. Although limited the experience gained so far is already sufficient for making some conclusions about the changes in the existence, thinking, and behavior of people of today that have occurred in the course of the situation of emergency. The medical crisis is an appropriate test to assess the impact of the main characteristics of human existenceon the behaviour of today’s people in extreme conditions, as well as their influenceon rethinking the relationship between man and the reality with which he interacts. Predictions about the impact of the crisis on people’s lives can now be made, albeit cautiously. The reason for taking up this risky assignment is the author’s desire tohelp other people orientate themselves as regards the events in which they have been involved.
