Summary/Abstract: Occupational therapy is based on the belief that purposeful activity, or occupation, may be used to generate adaptive skills of children with disability. Early intervention should start as soon as possible for obtaining the best results for the child and family. First years of life are critical period of the child development because neurologic development still continues. The ambition of this papers not to find quick and clear solutions of current problems in the early occupational therapy. We are focusing on providing some recommendations and direction that can be implemented in practice, so we can support families with a child with disability (by providing them help which is complex, coordinated, early and effective). Incorporating early therapy into regular occupations is a central tenet of early occupational therapy.
