The Thematic Orbits of Recent Bulgarian Feature Films

Summary/Abstract: This paper seeks to present and analyse the thematic orbits of the latest Bulgarian films; which topics pique Bulgarian directors and screenwriters’ interest; which directions their cameras look in, and what artistic interpretations they offer. This text addresses the trends by trying to focus on the thematic anal-ysis, highlighting the motives of the creative quests that define the directions of the authors. The interpretive fields of Bulgarian filmmakers are discussed, their horizons and thematic spaces, and the morphological specifics of their choices.
