Summary/Abstract: A MASSIVE SPORTS TERMINOLOGY HAS ENTERED OR FORMED IN THE ROMANIAN LANGUAGE ONLY IN THE ERA BETWEEN THE TWO WORLD WARS. THE MAIN REASON THAT EXPLAIN THIS MASSIVE LOAN TERMS SEEMS TO BE THAT, IN THE ERA BETWEEN THE TWO WARS, BEGAN TO PRACTICE THE NEW AND CONSISTENTLY, MOST OF TODAY'S SPORTS. NUMEROUS SPECIALIST PERIODICALS WHICH APPEAR DURING THIS PERIOD HELPS DRAMATICALLY IN THE POPULARIZATION OF SPORTS TERMINOLOGY. IT WAS SHOWN THAT THE ROMANIAN SPORTS TERMINOLOGY MUST BE CONSIDERED, ALMOST WITHOUT EXCEPTION OF FRENCH ORIGIN. A MASSIVE SPORTS TERMINOLOGY HAS ENTERED OR FORMED IN THE ROMANIAN LANGUAGE ONLY IN THE ERA BETWEEN THE TWO WORLD WARS.
