Online teaching methods in Romania The main challenges in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic

Summary/Abstract: Since March 2020, Romanian education needed to adapt to distance learning in record time. Against the background of the COVID-19 pandemic and the authorities' social distancing restrictions, all courses were conducted online, regardless of discipline. The sudden change in the learning system and the interaction between teachers and students highlighted the challenges of distance learning and the need to adopt standard working methods without diminishing the teacher's ability to customize the time according to the class's profile and the particularities of the subject. This article analyzes fundamental challenges caused by moving courses to the online environment from three points of view: school management, teachers and pre-university students.
