Summary/Abstract: The article charts the history of the women’s suffrage movement in Britain from the nineteenth century to the achievement only partial victory in post-war period. Introduces key figures involved in women’s suffrage movement and the main events of feminist history - militant and non-militant tactics, imprisonment, hunger strikes, forcible feeding etc.
