Summary/Abstract: This article is a reconstruction of the emergence of the Lublin personalist school in Ethics in the thought of Karol Wojtyła and Tadeusz Styczeń, who was his disciple and follower.Personalism in culture, and especially in the philosophy of the 20th century, is the answer to the crisis of humanity. Formulating the personalist norm as the fundamental norm of morality, Wojtyła accomplished a transformation of the Christian Ethics. In order to reveal the deeper axiological roots of Ethics he was developing the studies on the philosophy of a person. Styczeń accomplished significant categorisations in Metaethics. He precisely defined the concept of the moral experience as the underlying situation in Ethics, he presented personalism as consistent ethical intuitionism, and finally he clarified the concept of Autonomous Ethics through critical and creative dialogue with the ethical thought of Tadeusz Kotarbiński and Tadeusz Czeżowski.
