Summary/Abstract: The essay highlights the valences of the word as they are expressed in the creation of Valeriu Anania. The powers of the word are: the transcendent power of the Logos, the world-making Word, but also the power of the human word in his royal poetical garment. The irenic power of the word that carries in it the prayer of the heart and, through the expressiveness of the metaphor, opens the door to the light of the understanding of liturgical truths. Bartolomeu Anania was and remained a poet in all that was destined for him, including in the ecclesiastical mission of the gifted shepherd, enlightener, revealer of the holy word and inspired preacher of biblical truths, through the art of a discourse of Attican clarity in meanings, illuminated by a language accessible to all, but without ever denying its expressive beauty. Valeriu Anania is a lyricist of chosen expressiveness, a poet who really knew the expressive powers of the word and especially of the poetic word.
