On the Legal Nature of the General Grounds for Termination of an Employment Contract

Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on the examination of the legal nature of some of the grounds for termination of an employment contract, namely, the general grounds. They have been a subject of consideration and discussion in the Bulgarian labour law literature, however, their legal nature is not fully clarified. Based on the legal analysis of their essence and classification, a conclusion is drawn with respect to the specificity of the legal nature of those of them in which the expression of will as regards the termination is a result of the statutory power to protect a legitimate interest in employment.
