Summary/Abstract: The multitalented, today forgotten, Lemberger Jew Alfred Nossig (1864-1943) left literary texts in Polish and German. This paper analyses three of his dramas from the point of view of the identity-problems and the biographic items in Nossig’s complicated life, ended with an execution by the Jewish fighters in the ghetto of Warsaw.
