Summary/Abstract: The year 1918 marked a significant moment in the history of the Romanians, namely the establishment of the Romanian unitary national state. Great Romania became a historical reality by union of Bessarabia, Bukovina and Transylvania with the Kingdom of Romania. The Act of Union on December 1st 1918 was marked by the Great National Assembly from Alba Iulia. The Romanians from Bihor County contributed to this major event in the history of the Romanian people. This moment was the result of the action of an entire political generation dominated by the feeling of solidarity and political realism that will show its fruits in the interwar period.
