Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is the method of financing of the election campaigns in Poland. The first part of the work analyzes the principle of the open financing of elections was as a constitutional principle that plays a key role in controlling funds spent by elections committees. Afterwards, attention was paid to the method of collecting and spending funds intended for electoral agitation – both in regard to the legal restrictions and limits set out in the Electoral Code, as well as formal requirements related to financial management. In the article, the role of the financial election committee’s representative was also emphasized, as well as the control and reporting on the finances of entities participating in the election.
