Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is to determine how successful distance education is carried out during the pandemic process and to put forward some suggestions regarding the process. The study is qualitative and patterned according to the case study approach. The research group consists of 50 teachers working in three different primary schools in Sultanbeyli District of Istanbul. As a data collection tool, a semi-structured interview form consisting of non-directive questions with four items was used. Content analysis technique was used in the data analysis process, and the opinions of the teachers were divided into categories and sub-categories and tabulated in the form of frequency and percentage. In the analysis of the data obtained, it is seen that teachers' opinions about the positive aspects of distance education are mostly independent of time and place, being able to watch the lessons repeatedly, protection from disease transmission, parent support and technological skills development. Disadvantages of distance education mostly mentioned are related to internet and computer insufficiency, loss of motivation, technical problems, inadequacy of technology usage, parent interventions and inadequate socialization. Teachers' suggestions for solutions include providing equal opportunities, training parents on the use of technology, equipping the EBA platform with contents on the basis of primary schools, and strengthening the internet infrastructure of schools.
