“Island Plot” in the Context of Nostalgic Autoreflexy in the Lyrics of Alexandra Petrova

Summary/Abstract: The article presents an attempt to understand the phenomenon of nostalgia as a cultural and emotional complex that causes the specificity of the emigrant ‘s literary consciousness. The archetypal components of nostalgia and the supposed paradigm of nostalgic behavior and worldview have been identified. The allusion specificity of the poem “On the Witchcraft Island Brood…” allowed to understand the specifics of the Odysseus myth, its connection with the “island plot”, with behavioural strategies “homo viator” and calyptic poetry.
