Summary/Abstract: The school integration of students with physical disabilities continues to be a challenge for the Romanian mainstream school, although many advances have been made recently in this area. While many infrastructural changes have been made in order to improve the access and learning of students with physical disabilities in mainstream schooling, there are still many schools with educational spaces that are difficult for these students to access. Given the diversity of the physical manifestations that cause physical disabilities, as well as the wide variety of the educational needs of the students with physical disabilities, teachers can participate in specialized psycho-pedagogical trainings that have more of a general character. A special commitment from teachers is needed in order to ensure the effective integration of each student with physical disabilities in the educational activities and in the class group, and to offer them all the situations and opportunities to develop cognitively, emotionally and socially. Teachers must identify and implement appropriate ways to adapt educational activities and constantly monitor the social integration of these students in the class group.
