Summary/Abstract: Thе report presents a study of the conditions for playing at home of children with special educational needs. The basic components of the playing environment are discussed. Results of a pilot study are presented. The main purpose was to explore children opportunities to play in the home environment. Data from a survey among 60 parents of children with special educational needs aged between 1 and 14 was analyzed. Important part of the study was to examine the parental attitudes towards the role of the play of the children with SEN.
