Summary/Abstract: Fine art, as a school subject has always been of second importance in Bulgarian school. Its role in the aesthetic education of the nation cannot yet be realized. The reforms that are being made are being made piecemeal. University, secondary and primary education are a single mechanism, and if reforms are to be made, they must be synchronized for the different levels. There is a need for a drastic change in curricula and sylabus. It is necessary to build a new philosophy of teaching fine arts. The topics of lectures and exercises must be radically replaced with modern and up-to-date ones. The training should use new materials, new trends and ways of depiction, such as "graffiti", "installations", work with sprays and other modern materials.
