Summary/Abstract: In the 21st century, a very bloody, large-scale war broke out, in which the Armenian and Azerbaijani peoples, part of the former USSR, clashed. This new escalation of the conflict includes not only the conflict of interests of the Armenian and Azerbaijani peoples but also the interests of different geopolitical actors, particularly Turkey. This new war in Nagorno-Karabakh might not have taken place, if Azerbaijan did not have the unequivocal support of Turkey, not only morally but also politically, as well as militarily, in which, of course, drones are to be mentioned. From this perspective, we have to emphasize that in this new escalation in Nagorno-Karabakh, Turkey was a de facto instigator-sponsor of the conflict, which, pursuing its interests, tried to have the most favourable positions in the conflict, expanding and improving its influence in the Caucasus.
